Posse, Cymbe complete major deal
Two teams with a combined 3-9 record pulled off the first blockbuster trade of the Finks League season when last place Cymbe-offensive-line agreed to send QB Rivers SD to the Las Vegas Posse Wednesday as part of a 3-for-2 deal.
Rivers is the passing yardage leader in the NFL with 2,008 yards and 12 TDs and was the leading scorer for Cymbe with 73 Finks points on the season. Rivers has scored at least six Finks points in each week of the season.
Posse sent QB McNabb WAS, RB F. Jones DAL, WR Nicks NYG to Cymbe for Rivers and RB P. Thomas NO, who is currently recovering from an ankle injury.
"Rivers has done a magnificent job for Cyme-offensive-line this season; it is difficult to part with him, but adding a running back and wide receiver will be a key toward getting us out of last place," Cymbe owner George Wilcox said.

Week 6: Review
The Brawlers won again to extend their lead in the Elway Division to two games. The Brawlers are doing it with a balanced attack led by RB Peterson MIN and RB Tomlinson NYJ, but could their top point producer probably be QB Orton DEN?
Defending champ Serkus is the only winning team in the Montana Division. Who can emerge as the No. 2 team there?

Week 5: Review -- Hail to the Brawlers
The NFL may not know what their best team is, but the Brawlers (4-1) zoomed to the top of the Finks League Power Poll with a 29-18 victory over vb5ds in a matchup between friends and teaching colleagues. The Brawlers own the League's best record heading into the Week 6 matchup against the Posse (2-3).

Week 4: Review
Friends and fellow teachers Joanna Terracciano and Kristin Herigodt are a combined 6-2 to start the season. Their Matchup of the Week should be very interesting to decide the early leader in the Elway Division. Ironically, Herigodt's husband, Mike Miazga of the Eggers (3-1), leads the Montana Division.
Brawlers PK Prater DEN was named MVP of Week 4, but the Brawlers also earned 17 points from LT. Vb5ds scored a season-high 70 points behind 17 points each from RB MJD of JAX and TE Gates SD.

Friday Morning Massacre
Four WRs from Cymbe-offensive-line received their walking papers Friday morning. They are the scapegoats in an 0-3 start for Dah Commish's team. The four of them have produced a total of 17 Finks points through three weeks. In comparison, my four RBs have totaled 27 Finks points and QB Rivers SD alone has 43 Finks points. There is no great mystery to being the only team in the league without a win. The only position with numbers is the QB and the PKs have been average.
I will be interested to see if any other Finks owners pick up former Cymbe WRs. Desperate times call for desperate measures. I told Dah Commish's wife that 0-2 is not time to panic, especially when the rest of the teams in your division are 1-1. But 0-3 is panic time.
